Night Melodies

This artwork depicts a group of musicians gathered in a traditional oriental home. In the center, an elder is captured playing a stringed instrument, surrounded by people accompanying the melody with a doira and other instruments. The harmony of warm golden light, deep shadows, and rich tones imparts a uniquely soulful atmosphere to the musical gathering. A distinctive artistic feature of the piece is its light-illusion effect, reminiscent of Kuindji's work. Painted with conventional art paints in a dimly lit setting with minimal external light, the canvas creates the impression of glowing from within. This effect is not based on phosphorescent paints, but rather on the masterly combination of color, light, and shadow.
