The Language of Birds
by Urinbayev Xurshidbek · 2026
Inspired by Alisher Navoiy’s epic poem 'Lison ut-tayr' ('The Language of the Birds'), this refined miniature depicts a unified flight of various birds. In the poem, the Hoopoe guides the birds on their journey toward the mythical Simurgh. This pilgrimage symbolizes the human search for truth, self-discovery, and spiritual perfection. The vibrant birds with outspread wings and traditional Oriental cloud motifs gracefully embody ideas of unity, wisdom, and spiritual elevation.
