Sea Voyage

Executed on specially treated and polished Russian paper, this refined miniature depicts a sailing vessel carrying a group of passengers across the sea. The tall, ornate blue waves encircling the ship, the sails, the figures in colorful robes, and the white clouds drifting across the sky lend movement and vitality to the composition. The gilded sky and delicate ornamentation reflect the distinctive artistic style of Eastern miniature painting. The artwork conveys the spirit of ancient sea voyages, human courage, and the timeless yearning for distant horizons.
